I'm currently having an issue with lightroom. My disk is full and I have just purchased a LaCie 1TB hard drive to use as my scratch disk but, I don't know how to change what disk lightroom is stored in. I have successfully changed my disk for Photoshop but am struggling to do so with lightroom. I would appreciate some help with this issue Photos and videos that Lightroom considers as active and are likely to be viewed or edited by you, remain on disk longer than other photos. Actions that keep a photo in active status include: Flagging a photo as a Pick or rating it as 4-5 stars. Importing or modifying a photo with Lightroom desktop or Lightroom mobile within the last 15 days. Ensure that your computer has adequate free hard disk space. Ensure that you have write permissions to the location to which you’re saving the file. Ensure that you’re not saving the file to a network drive. That use case is unsupported. Add scratch disks for Photoshop’s use (Preferences > Scratch Disks).

Go into Resource Monitor, click on the Disk tab and go to the second panel which lists all IO on your system. If you sort on the name it will group all filenames with the same drive letter together. I use one SSD for PS scratch, so easy to monitor. Try to open files in PS, make mods, save files and watch what happens.
