The train runs 24 hours a day, with departures scheduled for every 10–15 minutes between the hours of 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. (they depart every hour during other times).
Train is the fastest way to get to Vienna city centre. The railway station is only 5-minute walk from arrivals. • City Airport Train (CAT): 16 min non-stop service between the airport and Wien Mitte railway station, next to St. Stephen's Cathedral. Trains run every 30 minutes, every day (public holidays included) from 06:07am to 23:39pm.
The first announced plans for a railway extension would lead from Prague 6 (Veleslavin, from where buses to the airport go now) to Václav Havel Airport, with further lines continuing to Kladno. The railway would directly connect the airport with the city’s centre at Prague’s Masarykovo nádraží station.
